Rotterdam Marathon (Netherlandish De Fortis Marathon Rotterdam) is an annual marathon taking place in the Netherlands since 1981. It is one of the 10 most prestigious marathon races in the world. The first two marathons were held in May.

Riga Marathon (Rīgas maratons) is an annual marathon passing the streets of Riga. The first competition was held in 1991 and since then is has been held annually in May and June. Since 2006 the marathon has been holding a half-marathon option. The races are held for men and women. The main sponsor of the Riga Marathon is a financial group of Nordea. The marathon record is 2:16:42 for men (2008) and 2:43:53 for women (1991), 1:05:52 in semi-marathon (in 2008).
