White Tail Trail Marathon!

Today marathons are more and more becoming popular. People rush to check their endurance, take part in the interesting event that is a really great of holiday for the whole country where it takes place – no matter whether you are a participant or just an amateur.

White Tail Trail Marathon is a popular trail marathon taking part in the Southern part of Central Ohio.[sc name="article ad"] If speaking about the exact run marathon address it is Caesar Creek State Park that is located 30 miles away from Dayton. In the year 2010 the marathon is taking part on Sunday while the half marathon is on Saturday.

In fact, many wonder why such trail running events are so popular and worth taking part in. They are really interesting while the distance is not overwhelming. Although it is challenging many admire its wonderful beauty with all these trees in green.

Marathon fun run is to take place at the park of the beach where one is even allowed to swim. The only place disadvantage – the dog are not allowed there. The race goes along State Route 73 to the south of the Buckeye Trail and the US Army Corps of Engineers Visitor Center. Then running marathons participants are to follow the special yellow trail along the 50 Springs Picnic Area passing the Pioneer Village. The trail doesn’t allow horses and bikes.

The marathon is to provide the runners with 11 aid stations located at the following miles: 1.5, 4, 7, 9.75, 11.25, 13, 15, 16.25, 19, 22 and 24.5. All the stations will be provided with water, Hammer Gel, chips, candies, band aids, Vaseline and ibuprofen. The restrooms are provided at 1.5, 7, 10, 11, 12 miles.

Those who are interested in half marathons will run along the lake from the Fifty Springs Recreation Area to the Swim Beach. The distance of the half marathon consists of dirt, grass, double track trails and pavement. Unfortunately they don’t allow horses and bikes to take part in the trail.

The half marathon is to provide six aid stations. They will be located at the following miles: 2, 3.5, 6, 7, 9.25, and 11.75. All the aid stations is provided with water, Hammer Gel, chips, candies, band aids, Vaseline and ibuprofen (the same stuff as in the marathon stations). The restrooms are located at miles 1, 3.5, 6 and 11.75.
How can you get to Caesar Creek State park? AS it’s told above the park is situated 30 miles away from Dayton (to the south), 45 miles away from Cincinnati (to the north).

Information for volunteers. The event needs volunteers that will be provided with a free entry to the race of Ohio Running Events.
